But what he doesn't know is just how dark. Because while he's out searching for his daughter, questioning everyone who might have known her, someone is watching him.

For Tim isn't the only one who'll do anything to find Syd. Whatever trouble she's in, there's a lot more on the way.and it's following in Tim's footsteps. The closer Tim comes to the truth, the closer he comes to every parent's worst nightmare.and the kind of evil only a parent's love has a chance in hell of stopping. (From fantasticfiction.com)

When Tim Blake's daughter does not come home from work one night, and the cops think she's just another run away, he takes matters in his own hands and is determined to find his daughter. He shows up where she was supposedly working to find out no one had ever heard of Syd

Tim gives up his "life" to focus solely on looking for his daughter. As Tim searches for his daughter he begins to find out things that he can't believe. He starts to wonder if he even knew his daughter at all. Yet of course, he continues his search for her, knowing deep in his heart that she's alive. But is being alive being the same as being safe?

It appears that no only is Tim looking for Syd, someone who'd rather she not be found alive. As Tim digs deeper into the disappearance of his daughter, the bodies start to fall. Tim plays a dangerous game of cat and mouse, all the while dodging the suspicion of the local police. During the search several other plot twists are uncovered ~
a somewhat scandolous realtionship with the son of his ex-wife's boyfriend, credit card fraud, fake work records and a girlfriend who just may not be just his daughers friend.

A quick, action packed adventure that will have you second guessing yourself even when you are sure you've got it figured out. While some of the plot twists were just on this side of plausable, the story was both engaging, terrifying and satisfying.
