Do you judge a book by its cover?
Unfortunately I do - but only when browsing in a bookstore. I'm not going to pick up a book if the cover doesn't jump out at me. I'm sure I've missed my share of great books because the only thing showing on the shelf is the spine. If I'm looking on line, I usually start with a book that I've heard about and will then continue through the "others who bought this have also bought this" links. For those I'm only reading the description of the book. Same thing goes for ARC and review copies. The only thing that interests me is what the book is about. If it's a very early ARC the cover may change by the time it goes to print, so it wouldn't have mattered any way. You can call me superficial - but only when it comes to choosing books to read!
