A Fatal Slip

When a building inspector is found drowned in a bucket of liquid clay slip, potter Carolyn Emerson’s husband Bill is the prime suspect. It’s up to Carolyn to clear his name and not let the real killer give her the slip.

Carolyn has the chance of a lifetime ~~ to buy the building her clay store is in. The only catch is that everyone on the block must agree. Once that happens she and Bill start renovating, only to be shut down by the building inspector. When he's found dead later that night, of course Bill is the primary suspect. Now Carolyn and her loyal "firing squad" must get to work and figure out before Bill is arrested and the real murder gets away. I really enjoy this series. I think each one gets better as it progresses. The characters are strong and the storyline engaging. It's always a hoot to watch Carolyn and friends at work. A

I love the cover of this book, and the way the author's name is positioned in the window.
